I worked for the secretaries for resident NHS Surgical staff: managing patient files, locating then distrubuting them between departments, whilst keeping the notes neat and concise, filing any important documents where necessary. In this role I communicating with a range of people including consultants, nurses and other administrators, which meant that I was able to help both the admin and clerical sides of the hospital stay in sync. Effectively monitoring and managing the letter flow through the hospital’s ‘Big Hand’ system between transcriptions from India to the secretaries in the hospital, beforing preparing and sending out each copy.
