In this role, Ashley supports 218 churches in the Texas Louisiana Hispanic District with their Girls Ministries programs. Ashley trains leaders and supports the Director in planning district-wide events, including summer camp and leadership seminars. This is a volunteer role, but Ashley believes in the ministry and the impact it has because she is a product of the program herself. Currently, Ashley's own daughters are enrolled in the Girls Ministries Clubs. Ashley also teaches the Junior High club, Friends, at her local church.

Ashley supports the ministry of Templo Cristo Para Todos as their Pastor of Discipleship, Evangelism and Outreach. In this role, she manages the church's social media and internet presence. She also coordinates with the different ministry leaders to plan church events and helps develop the church calendar. Ashley is currently developing a discipleship program for her new church members.

As a law enforcement and military spouse, Ashley understands the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of first responders. Having trekked the journey alongside her husband for nearly 20 years, Ashley has learned about living with PTSD and other long-term effects of trauma that comes with service. Ashley wants to encourage and support first responders and their families in their journeys. Also, in this role, Ashley supports victims and their families in their time of need. She offers spiritual council as well as resources for families, in coordination with the Victims Liaison for Alvin PD.

Ashley is half of a coaching team that works to assist and support secondary level teachers of English Language Learners in the sheltered and ESL classrooms of Alvin ISD. She is also responsible for teacher training and curriculum writing for the Jr. High and High School ESL programs. Ashley currently works with teachers at 7 Jr. high campuses and 4 high school campuses.Ashley has trained numerous teachers and administrators over the years in the Alvin ISD initiative of Seidltiz Education's Seven Steps to a Language-Rich Interactive Classroom. She has been pivotal in the expansion of the program beyond the English Learner classroom. Ashley has also been instrumental in projecting our Emergent Bilingual graduation rate from 18% in 2012 to 90% currently. Ashley has modeled lessons, created professional development, and presented to administration, including the school board, on the importance of differentiated instruction for all students. Ashley also works to teach staff about Federal law and accommodations for Emergent Bilinguals.Currently, Ashley is working with Alvin ISD's Federal and Special Programs to pilot an SEL program for new arrival students who are exhibiting signs of trauma in school from past experiences in their home countries. There are currently no resources intentionally addressing this need, so this work is urgent and much needed.

Ashley is an educator of English as a Second Language. In addition to teaching for Alvin ISD, she is also a trainer for the Sheltered Instruction Plus initiative, and she regularly writes curriculum for the ESL program of Alvin ISD. Ashley is a product of the Alvin Independent School District having graduated from Alvin HS in 2002. Ashley did her pre-service internship in Alvin ISD in 2007, and began teaching at Alvin High School upon graduation.

Ashley was hired to aid bilingual students in math skills in preparation for the state's standardized test. Ashley worked with 3rd grade bilingual students while attending school at UH-Clear Lake.

Ashley worked as an RA in Guynes Hall in the fall semester of 2004. As an RA, Ashley was responsible for the welfare of 20+ young women. Ashley led devotions, inspected dorm rooms, requested maintainence, enforced curfew, and performed weekend desk duty and chapel duty. Ashley was the liaison between her floor and the dorm director (dorm pastor).
