I am a scientist with a background in inorganic and material chemistry. I have a strong record of project completion resulting in several authored manuscripts published in international research journals.Specialties: research, data analysis, experiment design, synthesis, science, reaction mechanism, catalysis, green chemistry, NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, exploring the wilderness.

Postdoctoral Research AssociateMassachusetts Institute Of Technology (Mit) Nov 2016 - Oct 2020Cambridge, Ma, UsAdviser: Prof. Mircea DincaProject: new adsorbent material for adsorption heat pumps. My research is focused on designing and preparing new adsorption materials that can be used in heat pump applications. -
Centc Postdoctoral FellowUniversity Of Washington Aug 2013 - Oct 2016Seattle, Wa, UsAdviser: Prof. Karen GoldbergProject Title: The reactivity of oxygen with iridium hydride complexes with respect to alkane dehydrogenation. The overarching goal was to develop a catalytic system for the aerobic dehydrogenation of alkanes.• Studied the reaction mechanism of molecular oxygen with an iridium hydride compound• Led a team that developed an alkane oxidation protocol of cyclic alkanes• Mentored undergraduate and graduate students -
Graduate Student ResearcherUc Santa Barbara Sep 2008 - Jul 2013Santa Barbara, Ca, UsPerformed doctoral research in Prof. Trevor Hayton's laboratory.Key findings:• Isolated and structurally characterized using X-ray crystallography an extremely rare copper nitrosyl complex • Discovered a nickel mediated reduction of nitrogen monoxide to nitrous oxide and determined the mechanism, including isolation and characterized a key hyponitrite intermediate. The synthesis are performed under rigorously anaerobic conditions using either a glove box or standard Schlenk line techniques. During the course of my studies I have extensively used spectroscopic techniques, such as, NMR (proton and multi-nuclear), IR and UV-vis spectroscopies, to characterize new compounds. In addition, I have become proficient in X-ray crystallography and X-ray crystallographic programs, such as, APEX2, SHELX, XSHELL and PLATON. -
Graduate Teaching AssistantUc Santa Barbara Sep 2008 - Mar 2012Santa Barbara, Ca, UsTeaching assistant for general chemistry labs, upper division analytical and inorganic synthesis labs.Reader in CHEM 173A - Advanced Inorganic Chemistry. Duties included; creating and grading homework, midterms and finals. Covering lectures on topics such as group theory, symmetry and symmetry adapted linear co.
