About Ashley Mapile
In my PhD, I published 4 first-author peer-reviewed papers, co-authored an additional 5, and presented at numerous conferences. My research spanned from environmentally-relevant oil emulsions to the novel colloidal stability of metal-organic framework nanoparticles (nanoMOFs) using non-linear ultrafast spectroscopy to probe buried interfaces.Currently, I am a postdoctoral scholar investigating polymer-binding agents and the temperature stability of nanoMOFs. Outside of research, I have editorial experience with the Journal of Emerging Investigators as an assistant editor and the Society for Applied Spectroscopy as a newsletter compiler. I am passionate about science communication and engagement as evidenced by my recent Community Builder award and successful chairing of the 2024 Vibrational Spectroscopy GRS.
