Landscape IndustryStudied at South Dakota State University in the Landscape Architecture department. Program focus was on residential and large scale city planning, computer aided and hand drawn design, site grading, surveying, and horticulture. Started full time at Bret-Mar Landscape in June of 2011. Designed and shadowed owner for first year. In 2012 became business manager. As business manager I work with landscape architect on estimates, prepare proposals, handle all marketing, and do all bookkeeping. I have designed and installed many residential and commercial projects with tough site conditions. In 2012 designed and installed landscape for two commercial buildings in harsh urban environments looking to rent open store space. Also worked with a school district's district office and pre-school to make site safe for young children. Have worked on various residential projects solving privacy issues, water management, and efficient use of space. Member of Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) and Professional Landcare Network (PLANET). Actively attend association events and continuing education events such as iLandscape and Green Industry Conference (GIC).BusinessEarned a Minor in Business.
