I am a motivated UCLA graduate looking for a job/ internship in a business setting. I previously pursued a career in the child development industry by helping children in preschool.The time I spent volunteering at my local hospital and library has taught me how to work with others that are in need of assistance. The severity of the problem they have does not phase me as I try to help each person to my fullest capacity. If I cannot help them I try to find someone who can provide them with the assistance they need. At my local library, I had the opportunity to work with toddlers and their parents in which I looked forward to all day. This experience helped me realize that I want to be the person helping children and their families. After working in MPAC for over a year, I learned more about HIPPA and how to interact with patients over the phone and in-person while multi-tasking. Learning about various disorders and how doctors diagnose their symptoms was intriguing. The values and skills I learned in these facilities are extremely meaningful to me as I will use these skills in all my future work environments. Ever since I was in Elementary school, I was one of the few students who would stay behind to help my teacher clean up while everyone ran to go play in the playground. Then during the summer, I would return to school to help her set up her classroom for the new school year. That tradition continued for years after I graduated elementary school. Looking back to this memory, I have always enjoyed helping others especially those who are close to me as well as helping my community. After helping others, I feel this pleasure and happiness that I helped another person which is a feeling that drives me to pursue a career where I can feel like this everyday.
