• Script, deploy & maintain stored procedures, views and data tables across multiple SQL servers, transforming and standardising data for use in our Data Warehouse environments, using scalable automated solutions. Focus on this during 2015 led to a reduction in the run time of the overnight ETL process from ~9hours, to ~3 hours, as well as a dramatic decrease in the rate of errors.• Create and maintain detailed Tableau reports and toolkits for use across multiple areas of the business, including Operations and Compliance, as well as senior stakeholders.Following discussions with the Complaints team throughout 2017/18, a complaints handling process was created within Tableau that meant that a complaint could be processed in less than an hour, with most complaints taking only a few minutes to run – previously this had taken in excess of 3 hours on average.• Provide data files for the use of direct customer marketing, analysing customer profiles to make recommendations on marketing strategy. Working directly with the Marketing Team on how best to increase our engagement on Feefo, as well as our overall Feefo rating, led to the company being nominated for, and eventually being awarded, a Consumer Credit Award in 2017.• Maintain and upgrade Tableau sites and servers for use across the business. Communicating directly with Tableau to purchase and maintain licenses, and troubleshoot issues. Knowledge sharing across the Tableau Community to keep up to date with best practice and new innovative ways to use the platform.• Supporting and coaching other SQL/ Tableau developers. This has included managing my own junior developer.
