I love learning and helping people learn. This may sound like I am a teacher, working in a school, but I am actually a library technician working in a public library. Every time I get the opportunity to help a patron find information that they are in need of, I learn something new. Also, every time I show a patron how to use the copy machine or the library's card catalog or how to locate materials on the shelves, I am helping them learn. I am a patron-focused, detail-oriented, lifelong learner. Due to this love of learning I have obtained degrees in biological science (BS) and public health (MPH), and am currently pursuing a degree in library and information science (MLIS). I have also experienced various occupations, such as teaching, and working in a lab, but I have always returned to the library. My various experiences and degrees are a strength in which I can better serve my patrons and continue to grow myself.
