Responsible for the implementation of the Command Centre ICT Roadmap, consisting of 6 work streams utilizing technology to overcome the limitations that exist with providing critical health services to the regional Western Australian community.

Reporting to the CEO, my responsibilities were Information and Communications Technology, Systems and app Development, Mobility, Operational Technology (OT), Fleet, Digital Radio communications and now include Property and building development.Key achievements while in this role included:* Design, development and delivery of the electronic patient record system running on Apple iPads and rolled out to 900 paramedics and 1500 volunteer staff, including the establishment of a statewide mesh WiFi network installed in the fleet of 400 ambulances and support vehicles.* Delivery of a secondary 000 (triple-zero) emergency call centre incorporating a secondary data centre, 40 vehicle ambulance hub, linked to the primary site with highly resilient and diverse data connections.* Design and development of the First Responder App to enable first aid trained members of the public to respond to medical incidents in the community, often arriving 10 minutes prior to the ambulance. This app was fully integrated with the 000 call centre system (CAD) and has been downloaded by 350,000 West Australians.* Continued development of the ambulance computer aided dispatch (CAD) system, associated telephony and ICT infrastructure for the taking of 000 emergency calls and the allocation of those calls to the most appropriate response resource, integrated with the in-ambulance dispatch and tracking technology.* Establishing a virtual cloud across the two data centres to deliver a redundant, scalable and highly cost effective platform for all of the on-prem solutions.* Rapid development of a smartphone based telehealth and e-Prescription system for the St John Medical business at the start of the 2020 pandemic.* Merger of the ICT systems from the Apollo medical business at four locations into St John infrastructure, systems and networks.* MS Dynamics Finance, Operations and Inventory integrations.* A number of 12 month periods as acting director of the Event Health Services division.

This was a new role for St John were it was recognised that there needed to be senior ICT representation at the executive level. In this role I also had responsibility for Fleet and Radio Communications which facilitated the rapid implementation of new technology into the fleet of 450 vehicles, automating the dispatch of ambulance cases to vehicles over the radio network and into the vehicle-based compute devices.Key achievements while in this role:* Upgrade of the ageing analogue radio network to a full digital network in the metropolitan area and major country centres alongside an independent data channel for job dispatch and GPS tracking.* Implementation of new mobile data terminals in all response vehicles, connected to the State Operations (000) Centre via the new digital radio network and cellular network as a backup.* Implementation and migration to Microsoft Dynamics ERP - Finance, Operations, Inventory, Sales.* CHRIS21 HR and payroll system implementation.* Development of in-house safety management system for the enterprise.* Director responsibility for the Community Care division of St John for a 12 month period.

Reporting to the CFO, in this role I was responsible for all aspects of Information Technology across the St John group. This included working with senior leaders within the organisation to develop the ICT strategic roadmap to support the business, managing contracts and relationships with suppliers, managing a team of ICT professionals including infrastructure and application development specialists and managing all change related to the implementation of systems.A key achievement while in this role was to manage and implement the significant upgrades and replacement of core systems to deal with the Y2K threat. A part of this transition included the re-write of many legacy UNIX based systems on contemporary .NET and MSSQL platforms.
