At Biosis, I'm responsible for the day to day management of a wide range of both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal heritage projects, primarily in Victoria. Some things I do in my role include consultation with Registered Aboriginal Parties (RAPs) and Traditional Owners (TOs) during the preparation of Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs) and other Aboriginal heritage reports, provide advice to our clients regarding their obligations under the relevant Acts and Regulations, liaise with regulatory authorities such as First Peoples-State Relations (FP-SR) and Heritage Victoria (HV), prepare historical reports such as Heritage Impact Statements (HIS) to support permit or exemption applications and try to remember the myriad of acronyms that exist in the heritage industry. I also work closely with the Biosis Ecology and Environmental Approvals teams in the preparation of multi-disciplinary tenders and reports, provide leadership and guidance to our early career heritage staff and undertake quality assurance reviews of reports and proposals.When not doing any of the above (or in reality, while also doing the above), I am a proficient field archaeologist and am capable of leading archaeological monitoring, test and salvage excavations in both Aboriginal and historical contexts in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

In 2021, I acted as the lead archaeologist in the provision of archaeological services contract for Hunter Water. As part of this role, I was responsible for the provision of management advice on all things pertaining to heritage (both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal) within the Hunter Water operational area.

As a Senior Archaeologist, I was involved in leading and managing the preparation of a wide range of heritage assessments throughout New South Wales. I also had the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in Victoria, the ACT and internationally. During my time at Umwelt, I delivered reports such as due diligence assessment, Aboriginal and Historical archaeological excavation reports, Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessments (ACHA), heritage impact assessments for State Significant Development / Infrastructure projects and Cultural Heritage Management Plans.
