Ash has spent the last 3 years with Skills Active and NZOIA developing the NZ Mountain Bike Instructor Qualifications. This National Qualification is now available and Joyride provides instructor training as well as assessment for the qualification. JoyRide is setting the standard of riding and instructing…one ride at a time.

A little company with a big heart. These adventurous off road cycle tours take place in stunning and interesting locations around the world. The people who join the tours are are rewarded with breathtaking scenery, local accommodation, beautiful food, and a strong sense of community. Trips touch your soul and stay in your memory forever. Destinations included Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia, Fiji, and China.

Coordinator of the NZ Bikewise programme, a month long series of events to encourage New Zealanders to ride bikes!

Coordinating outdoor programmes and events specialising in recreation. Events included the kids KiwiTri, Push Play Outdoor Festival, and Cycle into Summer.

Outdoor Instructor for school groups and holiday programmes. Lead Instructor on week long holiday camps including ski and outdoor adventure trips. Diverse groups ranged from 8-17 year olds.

Friday Club is a recreation club for adults with disabilities. This social get-together for intellectually and physically disabled adults runs every week during the school term, with all kinds of activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, bowling, movies and indoor climbing. We also go on field trips to various venues around the city.
