I am a science communicator, and I am to summarize and share research for a variety of audience levels by bridging the gap between media, government, scientists, and scientific institutions. I love finding ways to combine my scientific knowledge with a large dose of creativity in order to convey key ideas in novel ways. In assisting with executive communications at LLNL, I have learned to strategically share research and operations information with stakeholders and adopt and adapt to feedback. My experience working with media as the press officer at AIP and a reporter at KUNC and WPR provides me with a unique perspective for identifying newsworthy stories and ideas. My research background in physics and astronomy allows me to connect and build relationships with scientists-- an essential but often overlooked component of sharing their work. I'm an avid hiker, runner, and bagel-eater.
