As Director of Merchandising for Retail & E-Commerce I oversaw all aspects of the product across all categories - ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear, and accessories - for one of the top contemporary brands in the U.S. I worked closely with design and production to implement best-selling programs tailored to the direct-to-consumer business. Created the brand's seasonal marketing calendar which set the messages and timing of product launches, site content refreshes, in-store events, e-mails, and promotions. Worked closely with omni-channel buyers to ensure sales targets and sell-thru plans were met or exceeded on a weekly basis. Led a team of site merchants to implement the brand's first visual merchandising guide that set standards for product photography and copy. Held weekly team meetings to review data analytics and sales trends to inform our merchandising decisions. Within one year, I opened the brand's first four retail stores (outfitted with "smart dressing room" technology) and grew e-commerce sales by more than 58%.
