Working in the Offsite Tankage control room of a 270 kbd refinery in Britain. Responsible for communication with the marine terminal for all crude imports and product exports. 1. Responsible for maintaining communications and coordinating activities in the CCR with thefield operators.2. Monitors the plant parameters such as flow rates, pressures, Temperatures, Levels, through thedisplays, graphics and trends.3. Control safe Start-up, Normal and Shutdown operations by DCS as per established proceduresoperating manuals and good industry practices.4. Responsible for Control and Monitoring of operating conditions by DCS of related facilities during the shift.5. Check-up process conditions by DCS and check-up Product qualities by laboratory data.6. Request Field operators to check the facility and Equipment conditions and to adjust as requested. 7. Experience in Commissioning, Start-up, Shutdown, Trouble shooting and Emergency response.8. Performs first line maintenance by identifying and reporting faults.9. Directs and guides plant field operators.10.Initiate and coordinate response instructions during emergency.

Worked as an Industrial Electrician after Completing an apprenticeship with SSE in a Petrochemical environment.Responsibilities:Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown.Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.Provide assistance during emergencies by operating emergency lighting and generators.
