The responsibilities included managing all volunteers, including those from Brock, the Jr. Recess Coaches (students in grades 5-8), and the Recess Coaches 'In Training" (students in grade 4), as well as providing students with a variety of games and activities (e.g. intramural sports, drop in gym times, art clubs, organized sports, etc.) to engage in during their recess break in hopes of reducing problematic behaviours as well as increasing the likelihood of positive interactions between students. The program goal was to make recess and inclusive and inviting environment; one that made all children feel comfortable and safe.
