As the Preparedness Coordinator and Safety Officer, I work with ARHS and local emergency management officials to plan and prepare for emergency situations, including natural disasters and public health emergencies. In addition, I ensure OSHA and NCDOL compliance to maintain staff safety. Other areas of involvement include coordinating the Northeast North Carolina Medical Reserve Corps, leading the agency's Epi Team, coordinating strategic planning and quality improvement, and assisting with community outreach through Social Media. Through my work, I have the privilege of working with each ARHS department and many community partners and organizations.

As the Membership Director for the ECACC, I recruited new Chamber members, coordinated with existing members, planned Chamber events, managed the member newsletter and website, and led the Chamber Ambassadors.

My work with the ALS Association actually began as a student volunteer assisting with the planning of the Chapter's fundraising Gala. That work expanded into a role in communication, marketing, and media coordination. In addition, through past experience with the North Carolina Legislature, I coordinated Chapter advocacy efforts.
