In this position, I work directly with the owner of the company to manage the daily operations of apartments, condo homes, as well as manage HOA's. I am responsible for overseeing maintenance, hiring/terminating staff, as well as payroll administration. I am also responsible for ensuring that there is little tenant delinquency in my portfolio, and follow steps in eviction guidelines when needed. I work with an excellent team to perform weekly inspections, oversee renovations and create HR policy and guidelines.

I was the on-site portfolio manager of six properties. My job duties include overseeing the daily management and leasing of the properties in my 116 unit portfolio.

This position required me to market vacant apartments and ensure a high occupancy rate at my community, generate price quotes using Yieldstar, generate lease documents with OneSite and BlueMoon and assist new residents with the move-in process. I also maintained great relationships with current residents, submitting service tickets and in the event that they wish to terminate their lease, I assist with move-out procedures. I also assisted the Leasing Manager and Community Manager with projects as needed and maintained an active pipeline of potential residents. I won the Regional Rainmaker Award, an award given to the Leasing Associate with the most leases in a quarter in my first full quarter at JVM. I consistently was one of the top leasing associates for the company and helped my community win 4 other company awards for commitment to superior customer service and experience during my time at JVM. My latest shop score was 95%.

My responsibilities include opening and closing the office, ordering supplies and pre-qualifying prospective renters in accordance with Fair Housing Guidelines and Section 42 Tax Credit. I maintain an active appointment schedule to interview clients, take rental applications, verify information and obtaining supporting documentation and follow up on clarifications. I use Yardi to change prospects to applicants and maintain an active leasing board. I am in charge of supervising the receptionist, returning all incoming calls as well as tracking rental inquiry sources, managing and updating any denials or approvals within the filing system both electronically and on paper and am responsible for communicating any news and updates with upper management; all while managing to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor.

It is my job to help people find the home or rental of their dreams. I work with other agents, brokers, landlords and management companies to find the best property to suit the needs of a client, as well as market their properties for rent or sale. I am well-versed in real estate, having been exposed to it, from the mortgage side, to the investment side, to rehabbing properties as a general contractor. My youth brings a lot of fresh experience and creative thinking in terms of marketing and negotiation, and I value my client's time as much as I value my own.

In this position, I worked in the real estate industry investing, renovating and rehabbing properties in Chicago and New York. In this effort, I was involved in many aspects of the process, from finding investment sources to assisting in the actual work being done on projects. Each project taught me something new, not just about real estate, but also about myself.

As an Apple Campus Representative for Chicago State University,I was responsible for the presence of the Apple brand on the campus, not only to students, but to faculty and support staff. I worked alongside an Apple Account Executive, as well as other Chicago Campus Representatives in order to reach set advertising goals. In my time as the position, I not only instituted a raffle that helped create awareness for students on campus, but also received permission to hang posters on campus regarding Apple products, a landmark triumph in the history of the program on Chicago State’s campus.

In this position, it was my job to coordinate promotional events to create interest in the radio station. Various events included the on-air personalities of the station, musicians and product giveaways, such as raffles and promotional items. As a part of the team, I worked with other team members as well as clients that hired the team to come to their location in order to create fun and exciting experiences for the audience.
