In my time here, I also study Web Technology and Business/Technical Writing. These alternative focus areas have given me the ability to explore my creative side and verbalize the initiatives I work on in a professional manner. I strive to merge my expertise with my passions, which are health and wellness.Having gone through a transformation at a young age, I realized the importance of finding balance in all areas of life. The more time I took to take care of myself, the more positive people and events began to happen. I am so fortunate for the people in my life who have opened my eyes and molded me into the woman that I am today. I want to pay forward by showing other's the light.The woman that I am today is one who seeks and maintains a healthy mind, body, and spiritual relationship. I pour my energy into the things that make me come alive. I am a volunteer, a yogi, an alternative healthcare advocate, a blogger, and a singer. This place has given me hope. This place has made me happy. So, even though I’m still discovering who I am and my purpose here, at this point in time, I’m listening to my intuition and following it like a compass. I’m giving myself and this movement to this community, this university, and all of you. This is my way of expressing my gratitude and paying it forward. We all have to get there in our own time. We all have our own way of getting there. We all have to get there before we get the World there. We can’t fully grow our community until we help one another get there first. We must improve the quality of ourselves and our lives first and foremost.The Mission: By helping individuals improve their nutritional habits, and introducing alternative methods for healing, we can greatly improve the mental and physical conditions of students, faculty, and residents. We will work with other organizations and offices to collaborate sustainability efforts at the individual, university, and community level. We will provide viable skills to find balance in overall wellness, mind, body, and spirit.
