Among basic managerial responsibilities, other tasks include oversight of the daily operations of all renal dialysis services within a 400 bed hospital, inclusive of acute inpatients and outpatients requiring renal replacement therapy in the form of hemodialysis or continuous veno-venous hemofiltration. Participation in monthly quality meetings. Collaboration with other departments to coordinate care of the patient. Managing department’s fiscal budget, staffing plans, and materials management. Ongoing audits to monitor employee compliance with policy, procedure, and regulations set forth by CMS. Creation and completion of annual compliance for renal dialysis staff.

Responsibilities include managing the daily operations of an eighteen-station chronic outpatient dialysis facility. Maintaining adequate staff to meet regulatory requirements while being cognizant of area productivity goals. Monitoring the facilities progress and achievement towards quality indicators with presentation of action plans, opportunities for improvement, and education at monthly quality meetings. Maintaining clinic supplies with a fiscal responsibility towards cost per treatment. Tracking, scheduling, and monitoring completion of patients’ plan of care and comprehensive assessments. Tracking and scheduling all employees educational and regulatory/compliance training including annual OSHA training, annual competency exams, and certification/recertification. Implementing corrective action and developmental action plans with employees when necessary. Completing internal audits in regards to staff practices and patient safety. Chosen as an area mentor, completed company mentoring program, and currently mentoring two new Clinic Managers.

Responsibilities included providing education for all clinical staff members within assigned region which consisted of five clinics in southern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. I was the lead instructor of the Basic Dialysis Education class required for all new hires within the company as well as annual training and development programs for current staff members. I would provide assistance to Clinical Managers with facilities plans of correction status post state surveys. I completed CPR certification and re-certification for all staff members through the American Heart Association as well as performed mock codes annually for each clinic.
