I am a graduate student in the Master’s of Elementary and Special Education program at Grand Canyon University! I am also a graduate from Santa Clara University with a double degree in Child Studies and Psychology. I’m a natural born leader and driven competitor because of my background in athletics: I excelled as a member of Santa Clara’s NCAA Division I softball program, collecting 3 first team all-conference honors alongside an All-America honor in 2023, which is a nod to the high standards I hold for myself on and off the field.As a student athlete, I’ve had to master the valuable skill of time management in order to reap the most benefit from my education, sport, and free time. While this is at times a challenging endeavor, I’ve realized that the organization it requires of me has translated into my daily life outside of school and sports, and will eventually help me to be an effective and involved teacher.Goal-oriented and driven, I don’t back down from a challenge, on or off the field; I push myself beyond the limits of my abilities because I’m passionate about learning and growing as a student, athlete, and rising educator.
