I see patients primarily 65 years old and above with a wide variety of ocular diseases. I have become proficient in the diagnosis, treatment and management of glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. I work alongside a team of doctors to coordinate care for patients. I perform thorough exams from chief complaints to dilated retinal exams, paying close attention to systemic diseases and medications that may have ocular complications.

I worked as an intern at this location with a diverse population of patients seeing a wide array of ocular disease and visual anomalies. I worked alongside numerous technicians and attending doctors in order to provide comprehensive examinations to the patients. I became proficient in providing eyeglass prescriptions to patients with a variety of refractive errors, as well as aiding the patients in picking out the most suitable eyeglasses for their prescription. I saw patients aging from 11 months to 80+ years old.

-Performed entrance testing such as autorefraction, NCT, chief complaints and visual acuities as well as performed OCTs, visual fields and topography -Performed contact lens insertion and removal trainings with new contact lens wearers, both soft contact lenses, rigid gas permeable contact lenses and ortho-K lenses-Aided in the selection of glasses as well as helping the patient to select the best possible lenses for them-Performed lab duties such as edging lenses and verifying prescriptions with manual lensometry-Reception work with checking in and checking out patients as well as answering the phone, including triaging calls-Performed closing duties of tallying insurance data and money collected throughout the day
