Responsible for the professional leadership, overall operations and day-to-day management of Lakeshore Arts. As well as being the face of the organization to its many stakeholders, this role also includes financial management and budgeting, project management, policy development, Board liaison, grants writing, advocacy, and human resources.

The Development and Partnerships Manager is a key member of the leadership team at Lakeshore Arts. This position cultivates strategic partnerships and develops the framework and processes necessary to diversify revenue, through the creation of an annual development plan that aligns with the organization’s strategic outcomes. A main responsibility is to forge new relationships and strengthen existing ones in order to build Lakeshore Arts’ visibility, impact and financial resources. This role interfaces with the leadership of the Board of Directors and reports directly to the Executive Director.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Manager is a key member of themanagement team of Lakeshore Arts. The Operations Manager is the strategic linkbetween many aspects of the organizational development and the organization’s sustainability. The Operations Manager works in a supervisory role to perform a number of essential and diverse administrative tasks related to the organization’s office coordination, facilities management, board development, financial management, development initiatives, marketing and communications, and strategic planning. In this role I have been able to develop multiple new donor and sponsor relationships, planned and executed a fall giving campaign that exceed its fundraising goals and planned many successful fundraising initiatives.

Sessional Instructor in the Arts, Culture and Media Department for the Arts Management Program. Taught first year class Introduction to Arts Management and the Arts Management Senior Seminar classes.

Manage the art and artifact collection according to recommended museum practices in order to preserve them for research, exhibition, education and outreach purposes. Administrative support. Implementation of gallery communications.

For this course I developed and delivered course content for a new module based course that explores different issues of contemporary art practices. This included creating final assignments based on the course outline. I also provided students with feedback about their research areas. Finally I complied relevant readings and coursework that progressed their knowledge of their field and helped them to better develop keen analytical skills.

During my placement I produced a comprehensive report about self-directed adult learning that aligned with the Education Departments goals and incorporated the various departments within the National Gallery. I also developed resource templates and made made recommendations for how to proceed with implementing self-directed adult learning over the short, middle and long term.

As a Research Assistant for this project I was specifically in charge of developing the visual content including, but not limited to a project website, social media and infographics. I also transcribed interviews and supported the lead researchers.
