My aim is to continually develop my skills as in audio, writing, and engineering. I have worked for a decade in music composition, game development, event coordination, & education. Any position that offers me the opportunity to work and in these areas would be ideal. I am currently working establish a more solid foundation in software development through personal studies in Javascript, Lua, HTML, and also node based coding systems for game and audio/visual development. Professionally I am particularly interested in the intersection where hardware, software, and storytelling collide. I have had the privilege of composing for a number of projects, most notably Soundfall, and Miracle Mia. I have also released a number of original audio projects under the artist name 'SonikBuster'. I've spoken on game planning, and storytelling in game development and design at a variety of events as a Guest Speaker at ECGC, GDEX, and MAGFest. Helping others develop concepts for games as a cohesive project is something that I'm very passionate about. Engaging people in interactive discussions about effective methods of storytelling through intellectual, auditory, and visual methods. In these sessions we discuss creating memorable and immersive audio, engaging written and visual narrative elements, gameplay mechanics that can help convey the story well, different formats and art styles that would best fit the goal of the project. As a result of these panels and speaking engagements I've met thousands of game developers, and had the opportunity to support them how to cast a vision, and set reasonable expectations for their teams.I currently work in Higher Education as an Admissions Counselor, and this joy extends to the student's that I assist each year with determining the best possible path to take to achieve their goals, and develop the skills and abilities necessary to be successful in their field of expertise and interest. While it is not necessarily a requirement of the University it is important to me to ensure that when I speak to students that I do my best to set reasonable expectations and connect them with the right people and programs in that process.I also have a number of my own dreams and goals that I am pursuing and it is an honor to also help others achieve theirs as I am actively chasing after my own. I have stories to tell, problems to solve, and concepts to build. If I can help others in the process that is a win/win situation for me.
