I support my clients with finance transformation projects including defining finance target operating models and transformation strategies / roadmaps, finance process redesign, supporting ledger and subledger implementations and other reporting solution implementations to optimize the end-to-end financial reporting process. Many of these projects have been driven by complex and pervasive accounting changes within the insurance industry driving unique business requirements (e.g., IFRS 17, IFRS 9, US GAAP long duration targeted improvements).

I provide financial accounting and reporting assistance to clients in the financial services industry including banks, insurers, consumer finance lenders, and lease finance companies. I assist clients with a variety of finance and accounting issues including support with mergers & acquisitions and other technical accounting topics such as derecognition, debt vs equity, consolidation, and leases. I also help clients to understand the requirements and impacts of IFRS 4 Phase II deliberations.

Provided financial accounting and reporting assistance to clients in the financial services industry, with a primary focus on insurance clients. I gained experience assisting clients with the finance and accounting impacts of a variety of strategic transactions including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, and IPOs. Specific topics include SEC compliant financial statements and disclosures, MD&A, market risk disclosures, S-X 3-05 and S-X 3-09 financial statements, carve-out financial statements, IPO readiness, business combination accounting and purchase price allocations, and due diligence. Other projects included field testing of the FASB and IASB proposals for insurance contracts and reinsurance reporting transformation.

As a member of the GASB technical staff I researched, analyzed, and solicited input from market participants on accounting issues of importance to state and local governments and governmental entities in the U.S. I prepared and presented Board materials based on my research to assist in the standard setting process. My primary focus areas were fair value measurements and repurchase agreements.
