Procurement Specialist in charge of several projects assigned to the Supply Chain Division.• Manage the full acquisition cycle and coordinate all activities related to the procurement of various commodities and/or services• Evaluate and ensure that each potential supplier meets specified requirements for long-term business needs. • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor proposals; ensuring all commercial interests are championed• Engage/facilitate in team-based decisions• Negotiate the optimum cost, quality and schedule requirements of a purchase• Comply with company guidelines and government regulations during the execution of purchase contracts• Ensure that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets quality standards• Expedite and maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to ensure accurate retention of records• Coordinate appropriate and cost effective delivery methods for procured commodity• Create and maintain purchase orders and change orders to meet the unique requirements of each project• Work with Project Managers involved in the requisition process ensuring all details are entered correctly on purchase orders• Perform follow-ups and ensure all pre and post award purchase order management lifecycle activities are performed appropriately• Communicate directly with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the status of orders and required information.• Work and demonstrate the highest level of integrity and ethics as outlined in the companies policies and procedures
