I am a Front End Web Developer with nearly 5 years' experience.I have a varied experience as I began my career in IT as an Apprentice, covering many aspects of technology but eventually focusing on Web Development. Prior to my apprenticeship I worked in Customer Service for 7 years.I am proficient in a variety of technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, the Angular framework and Cypress automated testing, with a particular focus on Angular.In my previous projects I have worked with both legacy and modern systems in a Lead and non-lead UI role in roughly equal measure, and gained an understanding of jQuery, RAML and plain JavaScript (pre-ES5), as well as historic system architectures.Outside of raw coding I have also worked alot with Balsamiq Mockups and Jenkins CI, along with AWS S3, Lambda and CloudFront.In my current project I am in the process of re-writing a current legacy Springboot application from scratch using Angular 13 and Express.js as an API while providing Automated Tests (Cyprus) for Smoke Testing for our upcoming releases.Outside of work I am an avid tinkerer and broadcaster who streams on Twitch where I upgrade old videogame controllers along with building apps for them where necessary. I am beginning to learn Python and Flask in order to bring more of my ideas to life with Raspberry Pis.
