Every day my goal is to offer client-centered nutrition care & work with people to make positive lifestyle changes. Self-efficacy plays a major role in making a small or large change. Even when we have all the information needed to lead healthy lifestyles, support & encouragement will be the catalysts to take that next step & stay motivated. Dietitians are just that, the nutrition experts who are there to offer confidential support, skill building, and encouragement to help clients gain self-efficacy. Sustainability is key, supporting doable changes today will ultimately impact wellbeing over a lifetime. I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) with a BS in Food Science & Human Nutrition, Dietetics concentration. I have graduated from the AND & ACEND Accredited UW-GB Dietetic Internship Program. Then I worked at a WIC clinic where I got the privilege to talk with many pregnant & postpartum women and give them the tools to lead healthy pregnancies and raise healthy children! In WIC I advanced my Nutrition career and obtained my Certified Lactation Specialist credential to help better educate & support breastfeeding moms in their individual goals. #RDN #CLS #breastfeedingI currently work at Ascent Wellness Program with a diverse patient population. Through motivational interviewing, individualized skill building and nutrition education I am able to support my clients in doable change and long lasting life skills and tools to have autonomy in their nutrition.
