Led team of marketing strategists dedicated to improving health outcomes and increasing member satisfaction and retention across a footprint of 15M+ Medicaid and Medicare members in 27 states, plus DC. Collaborated with internal and external partners, including vendors and creative agencies, ensuring each communication adhered to brand standards and our contractual and compliance requirements. Launched omnichannel campaigns to engage, educate and delight our members, taking into account varying education levels, disabilities, health literacy levels, and languages spoken, to help them navigate the health care system, access needed services, and play an active role in their health and wellness.

Led team of 40+ creatives, developing over 16K communications annually in service of Anthem's Medicaid business, ensuring on-brand, compelling, compliant delivery.

Created communications for the Medicaid and dual-eligible (Medicare-Medicaid) health plans under the WellPoint umbrella. Wrote and edited letters, ad copy, collateral materials, resource materials and Web copy. Collaborated with creative services, traffic and fulfillment to get materials translated, designed, produced and distributed. Ensured each communication adhered to the company style guide and reflected brand. Tasked with engaging and educating members in ways they can understand, taking into account varying education levels, disabilities and language barriers.

Oversaw a team of copywriters who drafted communications for Amerigroup's provider networks in 13 states. Drafted letters, blast faxes, reference materials, Web copy and collateral materials. Sat for interviews with various local, national and international media outlets in order to draw public attention to animal rights issues and PETA's campaigns. Researched media markets and various publications and determine those best suited to run our stories in order to maximize our media coverage.

Coordinated two of PETA's largest grassroots campaigns - those against KFC and McDonald's. Wrote letters, text for campaign materials, and slogans for ads and billboards. Worked with our communications department on maximizing media coverage; with our outreach division to cultivate activist participation; with our marketing department to help reach out to people and impact our targets via social media and the Web; and with our production department to develop ads, billboards, and other images that could be distributed in some fashion and used to draw attention to the campaign. Maintained communication between the departments and occasionally handled media interviews regarding certain projects.
