I work with a number of groups from different disciplines to build a 6.5 ft long pod, aimed to challenge top speed records in a reduced pressure/vacuum tube by combining employment of knowledge from the classroom, researching (material) properties that span multiple areas of engineering & science, and through regular team discussions and collaborations. Currently a member of the mechanical engineering team. Initiated and am leading the new MagLev research side project.A little about SpaceX Hyperloop:SpaceX announced the Hyperloop Pod Competition in 2015 with the intentions of accelerating the development of functional prototypes and encouraging student innovation by challenging university teams to design and build the best transport Pod. This competition is unique due to being the first of their kind anywhere in the world. Based on the success of the first two competitions (January and August 2017), SpaceX is moving forward with a third installment for 2018 focusing mainly on maximum speed. Additionally, all pods must be self-propelled.

Los Altos Hills

First week of training was with kids around 8-10 years of age staying overnight for 5 days. Currently working with kids around ages 5-7 usually managing a group of 8 kids alonePlans activities for the following week which is accompanied by team meetings and paperwork for different activities. Often times there are collaborations with other counselors for activities in which up to 16 kids would be managed between 2 counselors.Other responsibilities also include farm chores.

Employ and develop communication skills while calling alumni and fellows. During calls, I update contact information for each person, maintain and strengthen the bonds between LMU and alumni/fellows, and raise donations while boosting publicity for events and fundraisers around campus.
