The Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) is an independent research and advisory group and platform for confidential exchanges of views between official institutions and private sector counterparties.The overriding aim is to enable the private and public sector to learn from each other in different ways, promoting better understanding of the world economy and higher across-the-board standards. OMFIF's main areas of focus are economic and monetary policy, asset management and financial supervision and regulation.In June 2015 I joined OMFIF as an Events Coordinator. After 9 months in this role I was promoted to Senior Coordinator as a reflection of my hard work and commitment to the company. As a Senior Coordinator I am responsible for organising and managing events including; conferences for 90 participants across Europe, Asia and the Americas, workshops and seminars for groups of 40 and a variety of lunches, dinners, lectures and launches for up to 200 across both London and worldwide. My promotion to Senior Coordinator brings the additional responsibility of managing the recruitment, training and direct line management of a team assistant. • Global venue sourcing and booking• Supplier contracting and management to include, AV, F&B, photographers, etc.• Full budget management and post event evaluation• Arrangement of travel and accommodation for speakers • Organisation of event materials to include programmes and marketing• Liaison with senior level participants and speakers from both the private and public sector• Leading a team of staff on site at events for set up, running and pack down
