Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the planning/delivery of high-profile value optimization, organizational streamlining, and change projects for clients in the engineering, healthcare, military, and government sectors. Partner with client executives to clarify priorities and design targeted initiatives to accomplish them, leveraging a toolbox of individual/group facilitation tools and methodologies to achieve results, including strengths-based approaches such as appreciative inquiry and open systems analysis. Primary services include value analysis/value engineering, value-based design charrettes, function analysis concept developemnt (FACD) workshops, process streamlining, organization development and effectiveness, and executive / leadership coaching. Highlighted Projects • Served as lead consultant on the Caltrans District 8 Strategic Direction & Organizational Effectiveness project, focused on assessing the organization’s current state and developing a five-year plan for helping the entity evolve to meet future needs and challenges. Efforts included analyzing results of an Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) administered to over 1,200 employees, leading a one-day Executive retreat, conducting 15 workshops (including nearly all employees) to develop a District values list, and facilitating three intensive strategic planning workshops with the Executive Team and multi-disciplinary team members. Recognized with entire team at the Director’s Town Hall in April 2016.• Orchestrated the Class IV (Protected) Bikeway Stakeholder Feedback Summit with Caltrans executives and 50+ stakeholder groups, including City and County planners, members of the ADA community, several cyclist groups, etc, aimed at broadening stakeholder perspectives, identifying risks and opportunities, and gathering feedback on improving bike transportation prior to the development of new policy. The event leveraged appreciative inquiry within a café-style format.

Initially brought in to co-facilitate and manage various value-optimization projects prior to promotion to full PM role. Responsibilities included recruiting and building consultant teams, coordinating workshop logistics, developing budgets, and managing vendor contracts—in addition to overseeing a series of special projects involving the expansion of the firm’s design optimization projects in the Pacific (Hawaii, Guam, and Japan).

Primary duties spanned both marketing and billable consulting project coordination. Served as primary client contact and project manager for small- and medium-sized value optimization projects (85%) and as secondary client contact for large projects (15%). Built and deployed consultant subject matter expert teams, developed and managed project budgets, and conducted client follow-up activities.
