• Responsible for progression of audits, review of 1st and 2nd year staff work and documentation, and status reporting to firm managers and partners• Oversees all stages of compilation, review, and audit engagements to ensure deadlines are met in an efficient manner• Concentration in construction companies and small business industries• Directs the completion of ~20 employee benefit plan audits annually• Researching latest accounting and auditing updates as well as proposed regulations for communication to staff and clients• Ensures financial statements prepared are in accordance with GAAP• Experience on audits performed in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and related compliance reporting• Communicates audit findings and presents financial statements to client management and/or boards of directors• Serves as primary direct client contact on all engagements• Displays time management skills by overseeing multiple engagements simultaneously• Planning of audits including client coordination, developing time budgets, completion of risk assessments, planning of audit procedures to be performed, and brainstorming meetings with partners, managers, and staff involved• Utilizes continuous feedback from partners for constructive development• Act as direct report and mentor to ~5 staff and senior accountants
