In this leadership role, I skillfully facilitate a monthly support group and organize vibrant Pride events and activities throughout Northumberland County during Pride Month and as part of year-round 2SLGBTQIA+ initiatives. Concurrently, I drive community awareness through educational webinars and workshops on queer rights and advocacy.An exceptional highlight of my advocacy efforts includes speaking before Cobourg's Town Council in May 2019, leading to the symbolically significant decision to raise a rainbow flag at the town hall and officially recognize June as Pride Month. This milestone was commemorated by raising the flag and installing a rainbow crosswalk beside Cobourg's iconic Victoria Hall.Leveraging my academic background, I hold a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in English Literature and Women's Studies from Trent University. This comprehensive foundation complements my practical experience in the field.I am seeking new opportunities to utilize my skills and expertise in community legal work, freelance creative consulting work, grant writing, or executive leadership roles.
