Ashley Bryant is a Sr. Director, Talent Strategy & Alignment at Liberty Mutual Insurance at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Colleagues describe her as "I am lucky to have served as a supervisor to Ashley since fall 2010 when she interviewed for and accepted the Career Development Internship through the University of Georgia Career Center. Career Development Interns (CDIs) serve as peer mentors by critiquing student resumes during walk-in hours and assisting staff with career-related events. During walk-in hours, Ashley had the ability to build a strong rapport with all she came into contact with and students always left with a smile. Since day one of her internship, Ashley displayed a passion to learn and grow as a professional and we are so pleased with her performance in our office., During her time at the UGA Career Center, Ashley managed a blog (http://ugacareercenter.wordpress.com/) where all 4 CDIs write about their personal experience, observations, and insight as they go through their own internship/job search process. Since Ashley took the leadership role for the blog, the number of views has increased dramatically, with an average of 2,700+ hits each month or 90+ each day. Individually, Ashley created a research project on "Online Communication Tactics" through our Career Center. She assessed how students heard about Career Center events and helped the Career Center staff mainstream marketing efforts to help our bottom line and increase visibility on campus. Ashley presented her findings to the entire Career Center staff and provided us with future recommendations to increase student attendance at our major events that we are sure to implement. Ashley has a strong level of maturity and insight that she brings to each of her endeavors. I have had the opportunity to watch her take on numerous challenges, successfully complete each of them, and consistently exceed all expectations. She is highly respected by the Career Center staff because of her willingness to help in any way she can. We will miss Ashley's contribution to the UGA Career Center as she has now graduated from the University of Georgia. With the help of her fellow interns, she led a weekly residence hall satellite hour program that reached out to first year students in the hopes of educating them on career services offered at the Career Center. Because of Ashley's personal interest in the nonprofit sector, she sought out opportunities to collaborate with Career Center staff and served an integral role in the Careers in Nonprofit panel held in the fall. For Ashley's individual project, she chose to head up the Grady Series, a program designed to prepare Grady students for their college specific Career Fair. The event will involve connecting with employers to help host the event, organizing professional development workshops for students, and marketing/branding the event to students. Ashley is an exceptional person and employee. She is always going above and beyond what is asked of her and sets an amazing example of putting great ideas into practice."
