Currently, I am a director of Maya Frodeman Gallery (formerly Tayloe Piggott Gallery), a modern and contemporary art gallery in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. As of January 2024, I work mostly from San Francisco.In May of 2021, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with the highest distinction. I completed majors in Advertising (in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media) and in Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies, in which I received the highest honors. I also completed an Art History minor. Through my Cultural Studies degree, I have been able to apply my interest in the intersections between popular culture, identity, ideology, and branding in the context of postmodernity, art and fashion to my studies and experience in advertising and visual arts.In 2021, I completed the honors thesis project “The Post-Soviet Fashion Aesthetic: Moving Past Postmodernism,” under the mentorship of Dr. Lawrence Grossberg. Following my defense in April of 2021, I was awarded the highest honors.While at UNC, I had a range of diverse experiences that have proven invaluable through the support of the Morehead-Cain Foundation.I had the opportunity to complete a 30-day, 135-mile hike in the Absoroka mountains of Wyoming in the summer of 2017. I worked as an art teacher and mural artist assistant in thirteen New York City public schools in the summer of 2018. I also co-organized an anti-gun violence art festival with the District Attorney of NYC, took photographs and conducted interviews, and created web and social media content for the organization. In the Spring of 2019, I received funding to travel to India to interview activist organizations and local designers about the fast fashion epidemic. In the summer of 2019, I was a creative and visuals intern for Jack Morton Worldwide in London and returned to Jack during the Spring 2020 semester as a freelance creative consultant while I was an exchange student at King's College London. This last experience was cut short by the onset of covid-19.After graduating, I moved to Jackson Hole, and began working as a gallery assistant at Tayloe Piggott Gallery in September of 2021. I later transitioned from an assistant to an associate, and later to a manager and to the associate director role, working to coordinate and execute exhibitions with incredible contemporary artists and modern artist estates, writing press releases, catalog essays, and artist biographies, creating exhibition catalogues, leading our online presence, and working directly with clients and artists.
