As a veteran teacher with 24 years of experience, Ashley has a passion for education and curriculum. Over the years, Ashley has developed lessons that focus on STEM, diversity, social and emotional learning, inclusion, project-based, and Dual Language Immersion. Having a broad range of students within her classroom (Gifted and Talented, English Language learners, Special Education students, Dual Language Immersion learners), Ashley has created differentiated materials and curriculum to meet the needs of all students. She is a certified Gifted and Talented Educator through USC, trained in Social and Emotional (SEL), completed race & equity training, and has earned certifications in technology tools such as Flipgrid, Nearpod, Seesaw, Clever, etc. She is a certified Common Sense Educator. During Covid-19, she thrived as a virtual teacher and became certified as a Google Educator. Ashley enjoys sharing her knowledge with colleagues through collaboration and presenting at district Professional Development seminars.
