Here are a few facts about me that you would never know from reading my resume:#1 I have a love of 80’s and 90’s music and you can almost always hear this coming from my office (except for Nov 12 – Dec 31 during which time of course it will be holiday music). The work I do with my team can be very rewarding but also very taxing. If the opportunity allows, why not have an amazing soundtrack going in the background to help you through your day? My colleagues would tell you that this is a good representation of my leadership style which is a consistent open door policy, always finding ways to bring fun/enjoyment into even the toughest of challenges, and room to be and bring yourself to the office. I would love to connect with you and hear about your favorite playlist during the workday! #2 - I once had plans to be a theatre and math teacher and spent my high school years on stage and even traveled the province with my class and local charity bringing awareness to illnesses. This has translated to becoming a professional who is VERY comfortable in front of an audience and able to improv in almost any situation. Group facilitation to a room of 500+, being thrown in as a back up moderator for a panel I have no knowledge of the subject matter or needing to act as the face of our team for promotional materials are all within my wheelhouse! #3 – My Strengths Finder top 5 are Positivity, Woo, Communication, Individualization and Activator. I lean on these DAILY and also make sure to surround myself with team members who’s skills are starkly different than my own. I believe that a diverse group is the key to innovation and dragging people out of their comfort zones – mine included! I have grown so much from watching my colleagues skills shine and have learned to use my specific skills to help others grow as well! I would love to connect with you to share more and learn more about the extra facts that make you the professional you are beyond what is on your work history. I have spent 14 years in the Career Education and Recruitment space working with candidates and employers honing my skills in coaching, business development and understanding the full recruitment lifecycle. I am always open to connecting to discuss career paths, referrals or informational interviews or to chat Spotify plays lists, Strengths Finder or Enneagram types ( I am a #2)!
