I oversee the delivery of an exceptional student experience through skill-development and engagement opportunities that support student learning, professional development and career readiness. I work collaboratively with the Engineering Centre for Career Growth & Experience management team to ensure continuity of programming and consistency in career development and reflective practice. I also have the pleasure of supervising a team of student engagement and experiential learning professionals who deliver services, programming, and mentorship to more than 70 student clubs and teams while also expanding co-curricular experiential opportunities for all Engineering students. This role perfectly aligns my passion for leadership and development, skill identification and articulation as well as the magic of student engagement. A part of the Co-Op, Career & Experiential (CCEE) team at Brock University, I lead and a team of talented business focused career professionals in the delivery of innovative programming to meet the needs of our campus stakeholders. With a focus on career development and strategic employer partnerships, the Goodman Career office supports students across all academic programs at the Goodman School of Business both at a undergraduate and graduate level as well for all domestic and international students. As Manager, I work to ensure the operational strategy of our office meets the needs of our students and employers while working to support the strategic plans of the Goodman School and Brock University at large. I work with an absolutely amazing team of passionate people who wake up each day ready to tackle whatever is thrown at us, ready to learn new techniques and excited to support the next cohort of students ready to embark on their career journey. Leading a small but mighty teams has allowed me to maximize not only my ability to multi task and take on quite literally anything thrown my way, but it has also allowed me to enjoy and participate in every moving part of our office!

I truly believe that all of my past experience have led me to the campus here at the Goodman School of Business! I assist students in the transition from university learning to employment, internship, volunteer and experiential learning opportunities. I work as a coach and support system to students individually as well as in group settings and both plan and execute employment related events on campus to expand the student experience. What does that really mean? It means I plan every event, I run most of the group workshops, I get to meet with all of the students 1:1 and I work closely with all of the other units on campus at Goodman to make sure that if a student has a career related need, they know to come to our office and get the support that they need. I work with the next generation of business leaders from their first day on campus to the day I am cheering for them at convocation.

As the Outreach Coordinator, I am out in the community drawing attention to VPI and the services we offer. My goal is to make those who need job assistance aware of the amazing support and services available to them and direct them to the appropriate branch. Building relationships with community partners and acting as the public face of VPI is my daily goal and responsibility!Coming on board as the pioneer Job Search Specialist, I was able to help in crafting the role and onboarding and training of all new JSS's to come! Meeting with clients one on one and teaching them to job search independantly was of top importance. As a JSS, I would teach interview skills, resume building and how to navigate social media for job searching. Facilitation was an exciting aspect of this role and one I look to continue in the future!

As the Assistant Director of Admissions, my major purpose was to train, supervise, manage and advise the Education Consultants in the Hamilton Campus to successfully drive the entire admissions process at the campus level. In addition, I was responsible for recruiting, qualifying and enrolling new students into our programs.

As the manager of our Western Ontario region, I had the pleasure of managing our Hamilton, Kitchener, London and Windsor Career Services teams! In addition to coaching this amazing team of career professionals, I also focused on high level business development and sourcing multi-campus hiring initiatives on a corporate level.

As part of the Career Services team at the Hamilton Campus, I assisted our students with sourcing and securing internships and job placement upon graduation. Being out in the community and meeting great employers for our students was my first priorety! This commitment to sourcing new employers allowed me to meet 100% of the required internship placements for all of our students as well as signifigantly increase both full and part time job placement. My dedicaiton to supporitng the students on campus was visible through an overall average instructor evaluation of greater than 90% for facilitation of the Career Managerment classes as well as unsolicited feedback to the Campus Director.

As a recruitment specialist in the area of applications, I connected with amazing consultants in the field of Business Analysis, Java, .NET and Quality Assurance and match them to contract opportunities in Mississauga and the GTA through a strong understanding and implementation of the full recuritment lifecycle.

As a Cusomer Service Representative I strove to attended to the needs and concerns of clients ensuring resolution at first point of contact where possible.
