Staffing Coordinator
As the staffing coordinator, I would assist the managers to plan for scheduled and unscheduled staff vacancies by reassigning personnel and supplementing staffing with float or per diem nurses due to census changes, sick calls, etc. I learned to critically think for potential problems and how to immediately intervenes to offset adverse impact, and demonstrate flexibility and innovation to facilitate the changes required to improve operations. During crises and emergency situations, we would be required to be able to respond and provide direction.
