I am an attorney admitted to the Colorado Bar, and I began my legal career at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck in November 2009 after graduating from the University of Iowa College of Law. Though it was a difficult decision to put my career on hold, I decided to enlist in the Army. I spent five years on active duty, during which I learned as much about myself (and my character flaws) as I have the tasks I was assigned. With my active-duty service commitment behind me, I returned to Colorado and settled into Durango. After a short stint in private practice and then nearly a year with the District Attorney, I am assisting La Plata County with its legal needs in the County Attorney's office.
