Provide individual speech and language services to pediatric clients of various ages and disorders.

Provided assessment and treatment to adults with brain injury, as well as pediatric clients with various disorders, in an outpatient facility. Implemented AAC devices, specifically Twin Talk and Vantage Lite, with nonverbal pediatric clients. Independently completed individual evaluations. Administered and interpreted cognitive and language assessments (SCAT-BI, FARVES, MOCA, APT-III, PTBI, TLC, BNT) and completed bedside swallow evaluations. Wrote detailed treatment notes and evaluation reports, and completed progress/discharge reports using E-Care system. Independently planned and conducted treatment sessions with client and family members. Facilitated monthly community aphasia support group. Presented client progress to family and other professional team members at client update meetings.

Provided treatment to children in early childhood special education, preschool, and kindergarten. Caseload included students with expressive/receptive language disorder, articulation and phonological errors, hearing impairment, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, cognitive impairments, and autism. Coordinated with other professionals in the building to create and manage therapy schedule for caseload. Administered screenings and standardized diagnostic assessments (CELF-P2, GFTA-2, PPVT-4) as well as language samples and oral mechanism examinations as part of comprehensive speech and language evaluations. Developed and implemented individualized push-in, pull-out, and whole-classroom treatment. Employed AAC, specifically the Picture Exchange Communication System, with a nonverbal student with autism. Wrote measurable goals and monitored student progress on a regular basis. Adjusted therapy/interventions as needed to ensure positive student outcomes. Presented at IEP meetings for eligible students.

Conducted evaluations and provided treatment to adults and geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility. Clientele included dysphagia, aphasia, oral/verbal apraxia, dysarthria, and cognitive-communication deficits. Completed medical chart reviews and performed bedside swallow evaluations. Made recommendations for diet modifications, compensatory strategies, and laryngeal exercises. Educated patient and family regarding swallow safety, diet tolerance, and speech and memory compensatory strategies. Created SOAP notes and progress/discharge reports. Collaborated with nursing, dietician, PT, and OT professionals as part of the rehabilitative team.

Contributed as an active member on a multidisciplinary support team by screening, evaluating, treating, and managing the speech, language, cognitive, hearing and behavioral concerns of children in preschool through sixth grade. Administered speech and language screenings and standardized diagnostic assessments (CELF-5, CELF-P2, GFTA-2, ROWPVT-4, and EOWPVT-4). Formulated comprehensive evaluation speech and language reports.
