I started out as a shy writer who was encouraged to become a journalism student. After several years of studying and interning, I learned how stories have the power to move, connect and transform people. While keeping this knowledge in my back pocket, I pivoted into marketing and held down a variety of roles including project management, vendor management, procurement, content development and today, digital marketing strategy. While building a career in marketing, I also created a name for myself through my own editorial business on the side, serving as an editor, copywriter and consultant. This business, which still exists today, set in motion my journey as an author. I am blessed to be able to work with words as I've always desired. Now, not only am I a writer, but I'm also an experienced marketer, procurement professional and certified project manager. Today, I'm able to use what I know about storytelling, marketing and data to adjust strategies that help realize goals for businesses, organizations and individuals.And, after 15+ years as a marketer, 7+ years as an author and countless speaking engagements and appearances, I am still a writer, but certainly not as shy as I used to be.
