Responsible for the development of Heat Exchanger (HEX) designs that are built using Additive Manufacturing (AM). The applications span a large range of industries and AM allows designs that were not previously conceivable.I am also tasked with improving the methodology on how to model parts efficiently so as to lessen the burden on CAD tools that were not originally designed to manage such small and complex geometry.

I am project manager for one of the current transmission models that has recently gone to production. I oversee testing, help implement engineering changes and manage a couple of engineers to help get the job done. The role requires good communication with our project management team and manufacturers in China. I also design and model parts using Siemens NX. Other tasks include the creation of test procedures and their subsequent implementation; the writing of test reports; the creation and updating of DFMEAs; and the assessment of technical drawings before their release.Additionally I have been the assigned engineer to help with the planning and layout design of our new facility. This includes the detailed layout of our state of the art dynamometer cells.

Generation of CAD models for production parts that are used in the Ford Everest and Ford Ranger vehicles

Creation of concept surfaces and parts for the CFD and wind tunnel models. Once a design was chosen from the test I would then create A-class surfaces taking into consideration the engineering requirements of the full-scale racecar.

Design of parts for the Wind Tunnel model as well as for CFD simulations.The modular designs had to be quick and easy to assemble / disassemble as the more parts that could be tested often meant performance could be added to the racecar sooner.

Design of car, wind tunnel, and pit parts.

Management of the Bill of Materials (BoM).Maintenance of the CAD assemblies as and when new parts got released.Management of CAD and drawing standards.
