I was in healthcare for 14 years in various settings and roles before I stepped into a more unconventional role in nursing. Those years consisted of secretary and medical assistant work in multiple primary care offices and urgent care, assistant manager of urgent care, inpatient nurse in IMCU, cardiovascular and pediatric ER, and ended with me in the community as a float nurse covering a multitude of different specialists' offices' nursing needs. But, I was feeling pulled to something deeper.Over my collective 17 years of experience in healthcare, I noticed our system was in need of deep repair. I developed a passion for preventative care, health promotion, and a holistic view truly meeting our patients, exactly where they are at, on EVERY level of their health- mind, body, and soul. I started on a continuing education journey to receive a board certification from the American Holistic Nurses Association in holistic nursing and health and wellness coaching. I used my collective experience from this, my years in healthcare, and my own experience as an autoimmune patient navigating healthcare to open my own private practice as a nurse coach called Deeply Rooted Wellness, LLC. I offer private coaching, group coaching, workshops, business mentorship to other nurse coaches looking to open a private practice and public speaking within my business model. I also teach new nurse coaches as a co-instructor at The Nurse Coach Collective. I am passionate about advocating for patients who feel left behind by the current healthcare model, helping our communities navigate healthcare, autoimmune and women's health, trauma-informed healthcare and entrepreneurship, and helping others achieve joy on the other side of healing, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.
