Working with Ekya schools to develop an affordable, scaleable pre-school model for low-income children in Bangalore, India.

Responsible for conducting due diligence on Edtech investment opportunities, participating in meetings with entrepreneurs, and engaging in activities related to the evaluation and execution of investments

Served as Director of Operations at Newark Prep Charter School. Managed the K12, Inc. online personalized learning system technology for the blended learning school model. Developed, implemented, and maintained daily operational procedures at the school from start-up phase to complete school build-out. Responsible for the gathering and reporting of all school and student data ensuring compliance with NJ Department of Education and district regulations. Led the annual enrollment efforts, tracking all enrollment statistics.

Selected by Yale College Dean to support the academic & social growth of 15 Yale freshmen. Served as resident leader and advisor.

Trained by Yale University to provide resume and cover letter assistance and reviews, as well counseling on internship and job search process to Yale students.

Founded the position of Professional Development Coordinator in order to better connect African American students with potential employers. Managed the relationship between diversity recruiters and the Yale Afro American Cultural Center. Also served as Community Service Coordinator to connect Afro American Cultural Center members with service opportunities in the New Haven area.

Spearheaded evaluation of government loan programs for business-owner victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Performed complex data analysis of over 100,000 loans through STATA statistical software; Advised by the Chief Economist of the U.S. SBA.

Led 5 person team to design business and revenue model, conduct marketing and industry research, create financial projections, establish advisory board, and build initial prototype. Managed corporate strategy and long-term vision of the company. Personally raised initial seed funding from angel investor.

Founded project to incorporate diversity and employee resource groups into health and wellness programs. Developed and led marketing strategies for health and wellness pilot programs. Spearheaded Google New York’s efforts to contribute to Operation Back- pack fundraiser by successfully raising ~$1000 for school supplies for NYC homeless children. Demonstrated specialist knowledge in advertising & sales through successfully passing Google Adwords Certification Exam.

Served as the Management Information Systems Project Manager for Finance Solutions Policy Project which established complete and comprehensive guidelines on how to track micro loans on the Finance Solutions software. Used knowledge on microfinance to lead 3-month entrepreneurship training program for local Ugandan students.
