Specifically, I specialize in ordering and controlling sheet metal, plastics, phenolic, plate metal, steel, different types of extrusion, round rod, plywood, fiber board, and many variations of high density modeling board. -Checking material safety stock values multiple times a week to ensure material is assessable in order to support present/upcoming demands.-Interacting with the manufacturing department to ensure they get the materials needed in a timely manner.-Assisting customers with materials requests, questions, walk-in requests , phone requests, and email request. -Supporting hot AOG requests that hit the field and finishing them in a timely manner while simultaneously pushing any hot priority task in the shop that has a current deadline. -Issuing off paper work on a daily basis associated with stock in my warehouse to keep it as accurate as possible. Specifically, I help support our FAB process for the whole facility through coordination with different warehouses that have materials needed for specific requests. Also, I coordinate with the trucking department and help push any offsite sheet metal or extrusion request needed.-My current position entails building a storage crib with the purpose of housing aircraft materials for current and future contracts. I am responsible for every aspect of the project ranging from the physical build to the systematic mechanics of the storage process.
