I am currently studying a Master of Environment at Melbourne University whilst working at the City of Greater Bendigo. I am passionate about climate change and have focused my studies on climate change politics and policy. Subjects I have taken include: Global Environmental Change, a science-based subject which focused on physical environmental changes; Climate Change Policy and Politics, a policy based subject examining the UNFCCC and Australia's climate change policy; Climate Change Adaptation, through which I learned the complex social, political and economic factors which can enable and restrict adaptation; Climate Change Mitigation, a technical subject that focused on a different mitigation technology each week. Through these subjects and more I have approach climate change from several angles and have a holistic perspective on the issues including equity, justice, finance and some of the ways to address them. I received a scholarship in 2017 from Global Voices to attend the Conference of the Parties (COP23) held in Bonn, Germany but hosted by Fiji.I am also interested in Antarctica, having ventured to the last remaining wilderness twice and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Antarctic Studies.
