I serve on the Board of Directors of Impact Network, a nonprofit operating in 40+ schools and serving over 6,000 students across some of the most resource-challenged communities in Zambia. Impact Network’s mission is to leverage technology to advance the development of rural villages from education, to health, to economic development, achieving a 15% increase in enrollment, a 103% increase in literacy scores, and a 55% increase in numeracy scores as established by external evaluators. Impact Network maintains a 100 out of 100 Encompass rating from Charity Navigator, is a 2022 Library of Congress Literacy Awards Honoree, and made the HundrED inspiring innovation list.

I led competitive bidding and corporate development in the international development, defense, and diplomacy markets at one of the fastest growing mid-sized professional services government contractors. I served as a member of the company's executive leadership team and led corporate business development strategy, joint ventures, acquisition target identification and development, business development practices across the firm, and the Business Development Support Services department to ensure Dexis met its annual and long-term organic and inorganic growth and revenue targets.

I led a successful business development unit (20 staff in the US and Africa) in the field of global public health in fragile states and developing countries. My department was responsible for new business capture and proposal development to public sector donors (governments, development banks, and international agencies) worldwide. I was responsible for meeting competitive annual revenue targets and win rates, corporate resource planning for new business, capacity building of global staff on business development processes and donor engagement, setting corporate new business standards and processes, and annual work planning and budgeting.

I established the first field-based business development office for MSH and led new business capture efforts in Sub-Saharan Africa. I Identified high priority donor opportunities, primarily with USAID, and contributed to winning proposals resulting in exceeding win rate and annual new business funding targets.

(now named Improving Economies for Stronger Communities) I led new business development, donor relationship management, program management and oversight, volunteer and consultant coordination, and partner relationship management in Sub-Saharan Africa for economic growth, small and medium-sized enterprise development, women-owned businesses, trade, and HIV/AIDS prevention programs. I concurrently served as Director/Chief of Party of USAID funded projects: AGOA Linkages in COMESA (ALINC), Africa Fast Track Trade (AFTT), BizAIDS Southern Africa Regional Program. Based in Lusaka, Zambia; Johannesburg, South Africa; and Nairobi, Kenya and short term assignments in 30 countries in Africa.
