About Ashley Gottlieb
I am a visual artist who creates bright and playful abstract work through painting, as well as the occasional bit of sculpture or printmaking. Inspired by traveling and exploring landscapes, my work utilizes bold colors and abstract shapes to share my intuitive connection to nature. I love to “go big” and fantasize about creating murals and sculptures in unexpected places. My vibrant palettes transport the viewer from the daily mundane to a fantastical place, if only for a moment, and asks them to reflect upon their own relationship with the world’s wild places. I aim to provide viewers with uplifting and contemplative experiences that strengthen their connection with nature in hopes that they will become better stewards of it. My work has been shown at the 2023 Reno Tahoe International Art Show, Sierra Arts Foundation, Artemisia Studios, Nevada Fine Arts, Truckee Meadows Community College, the University of Nevada, Reno McNamara Gallery, Coffeebar Midtown, Northwest Reno Library Art Gallery, South Valleys Library Art Gallery, and The Basement Reno. She also has created work for public art in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada.Check out my website for information about upcoming exhibitions and events: www.ashleygottlieb.comPrior to making art, I built a unique career in events management and program administration. My professional experience extends to marketing, communications, and project management. I am an incredibly organized and self-driven professional who excels at managing projects and working collaboratively across teams. My work in events and art have fueled my passion for creating experiences and bringing people together!
