- Led and managed numerous multi-country studies to monitor and evaluate tobacco control policy adoption and implementation in collaboration with international and in-country partners, to address issues such as: child and adolescent exposure to tobacco marketing and likelihood of smoking uptake; air quality monitoring and occupational exposure to secondhand-smoke, and national-level policy implementation frameworks.- Provided in-country trainings, workshops, and technical assistance (including data analyses and technical reporting) for data collectors, civil society, legal consortiums, policymakers, and government agencies. - Initiated and chaired three distinct working-groups of internal staff and external partners, convened to: procure additional funding from NIH and other sources; drive the utilization of mobile platforms and social media to support policy development; and, establish an institute-wide journal club on tobacco use and substance abuse. - Represented Johns Hopkins within country-specific working groups of the Bloomberg Initiative in Brazil, Mexico, and Russia to strategize, provide research expertise, and coordinate dissemination of study results through advocacy and awareness campaigns.- Led the development of two practical guides detailing protocols to assess compliance with tobacco control regulations surrounding product marketing, smoke-free spaces and secondhand-smoke exposure.- Contributed to learning programs for capacity building efforts such as global and regional leadership programs and content for online courses.
