Assisting 1st and 2nd year students at the start of their course on Digital Forensics. I had 2 classes a week where I would go to help students grasp basic Digital Forensic techniques and assist them with using the UNIX based systems.

o Learning the fundamental techniques for pen testing UNIX systems, Windows systems and websites by completing challenges on their internal training network.o Assisting the pentest lab admins with researching and implementing new equipment into the network.o Updating a previously written tool in C# to be compatible with clients running Windows 10.o Helping to write threat intelligence reports and conducting checks on some of the client websites.

This volunteer role is run by the the Avon and Somerset police in which we are assigned tasks to research various trending technologies within cyber security that police officers need to be made aware of. We compile all the information in to a simple to read report for it to be used in training police officers.

I work in the wines, beers and spirits section replenishing the area when the stock is low and making sure the aisle is well presented.• Assist customers with their purchase• Help on the checkouts if needed• Make sure all spirits are tagged for security purposes• Take the deliveries and put new items on to the shop floor• Create promotional displays based on the availability of wine on offer

After my first year at university I was offered the opportunity to work for Bournemouth University over the summer as a Student Researcher. The opportunity was given to me as I am a Cyber Support Volunteer for the South West Regional Cyber Crime Unit. The job was based in the cyber security unit of Bournemouth University and was on a 10 week contract.The jobs roles included:• Helping the university run the Festival of Learning which encouraged people to come to the unit and learn more about cyber security.• Researching and understanding how SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems worked.• Create a web based simulation of a SCADA system.• We used JavaScript, PHP, HTML and CSS on the project.• Understand what cyber attacks can be done on a SCADA system

Marks and Spencer are one of the UK’s leading department stores.Working within the ‘twilight team’ my main duties included:• Proactively and reactively assisting customers to make sure they had a pleasant shopping experience.• Working on the cash register and completing transactions via several different payment methods.• Replenishing stock to make sure the store was ready for the next business day.• Working effectively within a team to ensure we met our shift targets.This role has allowed me to gain commercial experience as well as develop my interpersonal skills with both colleagues and customers. Due to economic uncertainty Marks and Spencer decided not to transition any temporary staff into permanent members of staff.

Millets are a retail store specialising in outdoors clothing, equipment and accessories.I was offered a one week work experience placement organised through Prospect School. Working as a Sales Assistant my main duties included:• Replenishing stock and general tidying to make sure everything is in the correct place• Assisting customers to ensure they are able to find everything they need.• Replenishing shelves in the stock room when new deliveries arrived.This role has offered me an insight into working life and what is expected when working in full time employment. It has also allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills.
